MindApp is available as a free, online web app that works with Google’s Chrome and Mozilla’s Firefox web browsers, and it is available as a free to try desktop application for Windows. Use MindApp Plus on your Windows-powered machine and you will be able to easily create mind maps, Warnier-Orr diagrams, concept maps, and general purpose diagrams, like organizational charts, work flows, timelines, and so on. The tools for creating all these things are put at your disposal – all you have to do is use them to create anything you want to.

The MindApp installer is little over 10MB in size; on a high-speed internet connection, the download will complete in a blink. Run the installer, click through the instructions presented by a setup wizard, and moments later you’ll have MindApp up and ready to be used on your PC. The download and installation process is an effortless one. You won’t have any problems getting MindApp up and running.

The mind map, chart or diagram you’re working on takes up the main part of the interface. At the top there’s a File Menu and a toolbar with buttons for various functions the application can perform. If you’re working on multiple projects, tabs corresponding to each of them are presented down at the bottom. To help you quickly get accustomed to the interface and MindApp’s functionality, the application invites you to check out an interactive quick start guide, view how-to demos, and check out some useful Flash demos. Furthermore, there are some built-in samples that you could load and play with.

MindApp has the following features to offer: create a mind map, concept map, Warnier-Orr diagram, or general purpose diagram; import and export data; undo, redo; add custom icons; find, replace; check spelling; zoom in and out; insert items, notes, and more; style templates; add text, borders, connectors; and more. You have a total of 30 days to use MindApp for free and uncover all the features it has to offer. Once the trial period is over, you will need to get a license to keep using the application.

With MindApp on your Windows-powered machine, you will be able to easily create a variety of mind maps, charts, and diagrams.

Pros

MindApp is available as a Windows desktop application and as an online web app. There are several samples you can check out and some useful documentation you can access. Use MindApp to create a mind map, concept map, Warnier-Orr diagram, or general purpose diagram.

Cons

30-day trial, nag screen.
